5th Hair Cut-A-Thon - March 21, 2010
Paris is 7 years old. Her favorite color is pink. She was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma shortly after her father, who is part owner of the Rose of Sharon Salon, held a Hair Cut-A-Thon Fundraiser for Childhood Cancer Foundation in 2006. At the time her dad never knew that one day his child would be diagnosed with cancer.
Firefighters from various areas of Southern California join by having their heads shaved at the Annual Hair Cut-a-Thon fundraiser at The Rose of Sharon Salon, Redlands, CA.
We've had more than 100 individuals donate their hair to Wigs for Kids; had their heads shaved; or got a hair cut and style for children who have cancer since 2006. We are looking forward to another well attended event in 2010.
The Rose of Sharon Salon will graciously host the event again this year. A dozen stylists will donate their talents and time.
A special thank you to Michael Cook who planted the seed for this fundraiser by calling Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California and offering to shave his head in honor of children who have cancer.
